  • I bought this game today thinking it would be awesome. Turns out, it’s the worst Wii game I’ve played. It only took me about 4-5 hours to beat and it was boring the whole way through. I played through Red Steel, which was waaay more fun than this. If you want a first person shooter for the Wii, this isn’t it.

  • As first person Shooter games go, MOH is not too bad. It is a bit easier than some of the other EA games such as the Battle Field series. You are limited in strategies and weapons available. Ammunition is in short supply for much of the game which adds a touch or realism to the game I suppose.

The player gets to participate in the 82nd Air Borne operations in the European theater during WWII much While at times challenging, it lacks save points. If you don’t complete an operation or have to quiit, you loose all the medals and ground you have covered up to that point. It makes an operation one long and tedious task. Other EA games function better.

  • I have been a big fan of the WWII simulator genre for quite sometime now and was eager to give this one a go.

There are a few issues to iron out with this game but overall I found it an enjoyable experience once I became accustomed to the controls.

The CONS, kind of dark and a bit grainy but I guess when one is running around Italy at night visual acuity is bound to become somewhat questionable. I am using a DELL 3200MP projector with about 100 inch screen to play which is awesome for this and any game!

The Wiimote is kind of awkward for this game and is not aimed directly at the screen which is a little counter intuitive. One thinks they should aim the Wiimote directly at a target to hit it like in the duck hunt scenario but this is not the case in this situation. Yes, I checked my sensor settings and no, there is no in game calibration to correct this. Using the face buttons on the remote to activate certain elements of play is also tricky.

The PRO’S, once you have a feel for the controls it is quite enjoyable!

The iron sites add a certain amount of realism to the game play and throwing the grenades is a blast! Sorry, no pun intended.

It is fun to be up and active during game play and this is part of what makes it enjoyable. One tends to forget they are engaged in some sort of exercise when their mind is fully preoccupied.

Overall in spite of its “rushed to market for launch feel” I think this is a worth while game if you are into this genre. In another couple of months the price will drop and it’s appeal will increase. Funny how the market for this stuff is inversely proportional!

The FPS with a few calibrations will be an excellent genre for the Wii in the future if they listen to the customer now.

  • I had really high expectations for this game, and I’m reasonably impressed with it. The graphics are decent considering its a wii game. the single player is fun, but short. Reasonably challanging also. The levels however in multiplayer, are extremely small. Sadly to say, there aren’t any AI bots, or online features, or even Co-op. If nintendo could have put a little more effort into improving those 3 things, and with even slightly better graphics, this game would sell like crazy. Overall, it is probably one of the best games so far to be released on the wii.
